Title: A Wrinkle In Time

Author: Madelaine L’Engle

Published: 1962

Genre: Young Adult Fiction, Science Fantasy

“It has the general appearance of being science fiction, but it is not….There is mystery, mysticism, a feeling of indefinable, brooding horror…The pervading theme is love…One feels that this book quests desperately for something it never touches”

-Saturday review

A Wrinkle in Time is the type of book that stands out from the rest. The book is completely new and yet seems very familiar. I have read many books, but this novel is one of my absolute favorites. (And that is saying a lot).

Madeleine L’Engle does an amazing job weaving outstanding characters into a unique plot that turns into a masterful piece of literature. A wrinkle in time is a very different novel that stands out among other books. It mixes sci-fi and fantasy together and the outcome is an interesting genre not used by many other books.

I’m not sure what makes me love this novel so much, maybe it’s the rich characters or the unique plot, but whatever it is, I completely adore this book from top to bottom, and I think you will too.
